SPORTS HEALTH IN A SPECIALIZED SOCCER INSTITUTE FOR TECHNICAL DIRECTORS

Learn about soccer protocols  and sports health with practical classes

The project

The institute was created on 2013 with the career of Soccer´s Sport Training, and was endorsed for the Higher Education Council (CES) and National Secretary of Higher Education Science and Technology (SENESCYT) on the same year.

On 2017, they open the doors of the first specialized soccer library of the country, and in 2018 they restructured the institute and signatures. Nowadays, the career offered is Soccer Technical Directorate,  which is recognized as a technique superior degree in sports, and lasts two years and a half (5 semesters).

The fields of study are: soccer technique and tactics, physical preparation, sports medicine, sports psychology, administration and soccer and society.

Location/ Accommodation

The project location is in Quito. Accommodation in Quito is with a local host family and it includes 2 meals per day: breakfast and dinner

Requirements

                 Spanish level:                                Independent user B1.             Good health. Must be 18 and over, with valid passport and health insurance

Itinerary Sample

The person working in this project will have an itinerary that will vary according  the classes schedules of the institute.

Classes are usually from 08:00 to 13:00 or to 17:00 to 22:00.

 

Role of the participant

Attend to anatomy, physiology, physiotherapy, nutrition, and other classes related to health and soccer; they are 80% practical, with the doctor in charge of the practices. Learn about match´s protocols, when and how to take the vital signs of the players, how to recognize injuries, and finally practice all your knowledge with real situations.
