The project
This project was created for the provincial government in order to improve the life quality of the citizens in general, but, prioritizing the access of the vulnerable population to health.
The areas they work in are: clinic, gynecology, labs, traumatology, pediatry and dentist. In some seasons they work with mobile clinics.

Location/ Accommodation
The project location is in Quito. Accommodation in Quito is with a local host family and it includes 2 meals per day: breakfast and dinner
Requirements
Itinerary Sample
Monday to Friday:
8:00 work at the designed area
12:30 lunch
13:30 return to work at the health center
16:00 free time
Role of the participant
Volunteers and Interns will assist the professionals at the designed area. Usually you start at the area of vital signs to learn how the health center process works and to adapt to the language. Then you´ll shadow a doctor and assist him/her.
Skills required
Applicants should be open, flexible, patient, caring passionate, creative and come with a spirit of collaboration and solidarity. Basic medicine/nursery knowledge.
