ECOLOGICAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT, BIOREMEDIATION, HYDROLOGIC AND LANDSCAPE DESIGN

The project

Holistic project mainly based on permaculture and bioremediation. Works since 2012 giving wastewater treatment´s service and training. Inside the projects they have professionals that help in the correct management of each area to get accurate and sustainable results. 

This project is located in a nice and warm place, close to a community of around 150 people. There are also some waterfalls and rivers you can explore in the area. 

 You´ll have the chance to work in agroecologycal farming, agroforestry systems, bioconstruction, bioremediation, and live at the same time in the relaxed and nature awesome area.

Location details

Accommodation is at ecological cabins in the project. Two meals per day are included: breakfast, and dinner.

Requirements

Spanish level: Basic User A1. Must be 18 and over, with valid passport and health insurance

Itinerary Sample

Mondays to Fridays:
6:00am morning routine (animal feeding and cleaning, harvesting, irrigation and preparing breakfast).
Each person is allocated to a new routine each week, which runs from Tuesday through to the following Monday, and we always try to organize so that people get to do a variety of different routines during their stay.  Routines are not mandatory at weekends, as people are free to go elsewhere on Saturdays and Sundays, but help in the routines on these mornings is always welcome and much appreciated by the staff!

Role of the volunteer

There are different routines every day,  working on the different methods of compost, spending time in the garden, weeding, planting, fertilizing, or harvesting. You can also work at bioconstruction, bioremediation and wastewater treatment, helping to improve the facilities of the project or assisting with external consultors.

Skills required

This internship is geared towards individuals with a desire to work with the preservation of ecosystems, enviromental education and willingness to learn and help.
